This week your child will be doing several Easter and Spring activities to prepare for the upcoming holiday. We will be making daffodils out of paper cups, a spring clock, a colorful chalk Easter egg, and much more, so be on the look out for some great projects coming home for you to hang on your refrigerator!  No new letter will be introduced this week and NO HOMEWORK! I will still be sending home the colored sight word cards however, and I would like you to continue to practice these this week and make sure you are reading every night as well!  Take home books will continue to be sent home this week too!  On Tuesday we will be going to the Newton Green Room to watch the sixth grade play, "The Princess and the Pea".  We will watch a short video on Monday so students will know what the story is about, but if you have the story or can find it, I recommend reading it with your child as well!   On Thursday is our Easter Egg hunt and Easter Party.  For parents who volunteered to send in things for the party, please have those in by Wednesday!  Also, make sure your child dresses warm on Thursday since it is supposed to be chilly again and we will be outside hunting for our eggs!  I think I have covered everything for this week.  If you have any questions feel free to comment and ask, or send me an email! I look forward to seeing all our your children's smiling faces on Monday!!
